Matildas Estate Festival Club
The Festival Club was definitely the 'buzz' of the last festival, and to accommodate the demand for this casual venue, and to increase our capacity for choirs to join in, we have moved to a wonderful new venue. We will look forward to those unforgettable moments which transpire.
The Function Room at the front of the Recreation Centre has a great kitchen, bar, a bigger room with a great view, and an outside area which (weather permitting) will be a great sing-a-long area.
The Matildas Estate Festival Club will be the hub and soul of the Festival... not to mention being a full house every night. With a ten minute open chalkboard (that is, each act, person, 100 piece choir or Mal Webb impersonator gets a strict ten minutes to share their song, music or act) and gourmet food, wines, coffee and cakes, the new venue will come alive each evening, bursting with song, poetry, group singing, dance... one thing for sure is that it will present some wonderful surprises!
There will be a PA, lights, and inspired vocalists hovering, waiting to join in and raise the roof. With local five star MCs Jon Doust, Nadine Lapthorne, Simon Neville, Nic Sproenbroek and friends at the helm, the club will have something for everyone... and more!
So... what to do?
If you would like to join in the festivities, please make your way to the Recreation Centre, find the chalk and chalkboard, choose your time slot and write in your name. We look forward to giving you spontaneous and/or highly manipulated standing ovations!
